Chandler’s involvement with Major League Lacrosse began eight years ago. He served as General Manager of the Boston Cannons for two seasons (2006-2007) before moving on to Lax United. On a league level, Chandler was the MLL’s Director of Public Relations for one season, performing that role while still working as a part of the Cannons staff.   He began his career with Major League Lacrosse in 2001 as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Public Relations Cannons, a position he held for five years.

 

In addition to his work on the management side of sports, Chandler is also a seven year veteran of professional sports broadcasting. Chandler is in his third season as lead play-by-play announcer for men’s college lacrosse on CBS College Sports Network (formerly CSTV). He has also called men’s basketball, women’s basketball and field hockey for the network. Chandler enters his fourth season as play-by-play announcer for the Boston Cannons on Comcast Sports New England and Cox Cablevision. He also begins his first season as host of Inside the MLL, a studio show airing on regional sports networks.

 

Chandler’s broadcast career includes time as the sideline reporter for the Major League Lacrosse Game of the Week on ESPN 2 and prior to that Fox Sports Net. He spent three years as a “Sports Flash Announcer” for WEEI AM 850 in Boston, MA, the highest rated all-sports radio station in the United States.

 

Chandler is a 2000 graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University.
